With many of our regular players away on the WIGS tour we had only 15 players today at Tasik Puteri. Arriving at the club we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful new men’s changing room which had been renovated – a huge improvemnt on the old one.
We played the Puteri and Tasik 9’s and immediately noticed at the start that the newly printed scorecards were wrong in that the Puteri and Tasik 9’s both had the same odd indexes so we had to change the Tasik 9 indexes up by 1 to make them even.
The course was in good condition although the greens were slow. The weather was pleasant with some cloud cover giving us some respite from the heat.
After the game we had lunch at Restoran Chin Heong which was attended by 11 players.

There were 5 flights today at Tasik Puteri and we all got off efficiently on the Putera and Puteri 9’s at 8:00am sharp. Weather was good, rather cool and overcast for the first hour or so making it a pleasant morning. The course was looking a little more scruffy than it usually does with overgrown tee boxes and various patches of long grass and GUR on the fairways. The greens were good though and provided some putting challenges on some of the holes.

With everyone arriving on time (it’s amazing what the threat of a fine will achieve) 18 LC’s teed it up on the Puteri & Tasik 9’s at 7:45 and with no one ahead of us and excellent cool weather we were mostly all round in under 4 hours. The course was in good condition; particularly the Tasik 9 where the large greens were very nice.

It was a beautiful morning today as 6 full flights tee’d off on the Putera and Tasik nines at Tasik Puteri. The Putera nine was probably in the worst shape we have seen it for a long time … the greens were bad and very slow. The Tasik nine however was good although again some of the greens were suffering a bit. The weather was great and we had no hold ups round the course so we were all finished and then took lunch at the usual Chin Heong Restaurant close to the highway exit ….. well apart from Roger McGowan who had some navigational issues …. thank God he is still not flying!
