KGSAAS REPORT-21-03-2023

Cannon’s

Back to the KGSAAS club and we played President and Sultan courses with overcast weather but very humid. Fairways were in good condition and quite slow greens on the first nine but overall good time to play there. The winner today was Michael Fenner-Smith with 36 points beating Ricardo Castro OCB and in third position were Tony Morris and Bent Serritslev booth with 34 points. With these results the LCOTY standings Ricardo is now leading the pack with 67 points followed by Bernhard with 61 and Josef with 60, so all are open for the last game of the month at Tasik Puteri. We had lunch as usual at the club and Bernhard kindly contributed 500 rm celebrating his birthday last week, and for the remaining of the bill, the LC kitty contributed 120.00 rm so happy free lunch to everyone. This month our Loose Cannon’s society is celebrating 19th-year anniversary and to highlight this special moment we decided to do a lucky draw of 2 Pampas vouchers, and the lucky guys were Hans and Montano. See you guys next week at Tasik.

Cheers

Ricardo

NILAI SPRINGS REPORT-07-03-2023

Cannon’s,

It was nice to play again at Nilai Springs with good weather wet fairways, slow greens, and difficult pins positions, especially on the first nine (Island). The back nine (Mango) was drier and had better greens not so slow and better reading. We had three flights of Coreans in front of us and the back nine was quite slow to play, but what to do. Helmut was the winner today with 93 to 34 points, followed by Martin Belderink (again), Bernhard, and Josef all with 33 points. Only four of us had lunch at East of Highway and Andrew Robinson joined us for a nice portion of delicious food and cold beers.

NICE TO SEE ANDREW ROBINSON AND SPEND SOME TIME WITH HIM.

RAHMAN PUTRA REPORT-28-02-2023

Cannon’s

It was nice to play again the most hated course in KL for some of our members. The weather was nice and the course conditions were very good. The winner today was Jose Winter with a reasonable 89 for 36 points followed by Martin Belderink (again) with 103 for 29 points and in third place Bernhard Romahn with 91 for 29 points. With these results, Montano Yee is the February winner with a nice 77 points followed by Bernhard with 74. For the LCOTY competition, Bernhard cemented his first position with 34 points, followed by Martin Belderink and Montano Yee with 20 points. We had a good lunch with some delays in serving the food but overall was nice and especially with the member’s price on our bill (thanks to Siggy’s friend). For sure we will be back and play again the Lakes course.

Cheers

Ricardo
