GLENMARIE (GARDENS) RESULTS-26-04-2022

Cannon’s,

The last game of April was held at Glenmarie (Gardens course), with great fairways and greens conditions but hot and sunny weather all the way to the 18th hole. Hans Benn was playing his 3rd game with us and our Birthday Boy Hans Berger with his donation of 200.00Rm and from the LC kitty 160.00Rm, helped us to have a free lunch with great food, cool beers, and reasonable bill at Tewelv Road restaurant. Overall good results with only 1 player scoring below 30 points and the winner today with a consistent round was Ricardo Castro with 79/41, followed by another fantastic score by Josef Winter with 85/40 and in third place was Robert Bellavance (The return of the Jedi) with 92/35. With these results, Ricardo Castro is the April champion with 78 followed by Dave Evans with 72, and Iain Wise with 70. For the LC of the year standings, Ricardo Castro is now leading with 56 points, second place is Bipan Kapur with 48, and Iain is not far with 45 points. During Ramadan month we manage to play great courses at good rates and I believe we all enjoyed it. Stay safe, have a good holiday, and see you at Seri Selangor next Thursday.

Cheers

Always a pleasure to play at Templer Park, with beautiful scenery, great course conditions, and a fantastic group of brothers. Two flights teeing off from hole # 1 on time and we finished quite in a good time all the 18 holes. We welcomed Mike Fay from down under, for his first game with us and we are looking forward to seeing him again. The winner today was Iain Wise with a nice 94 for 36 points, beating Ricardo Castro (lowest gross) for 1 point 85/35 and in third place was Bipan Kapu with a reasonable 102/32. Today we celebrated 2 birthdays (Erol Akinci and Bernhard Romahn) with some LC gifts and they also contributed 200.00Rm each for the lunch and a big thank you for your donation. Next, the game will be on Thursday 21st at Sungai Long, due to the Publick Holiday on Tuesday and Klogs on Wednesday. It was also nice to see again Andrew Robinson playing with us even DNF but the most important is his company. See you guys and stay safe.

Cheers

UPM RESULTS-29-03-2022

Cannon’s

It was a nice morning out at UPM club, experiencing a new course for the majority of us, nice layout,

quite challenging, especially a few blind tee shots, narrow fairways with water on the first nine, and hilly

on the second nine, very dry, with many balls lost. Overall the course was playable with the second

nine in worst conditions than the first but we all (except for Bernhard and Martin) enjoyed the golf.

On behalf of LC Society, I want to apologize to our new members Bipan and Roland who stayed alone

playing the last 5 holes, showing a lack of respect and etiquette toward the flight buddies and

consequently to the organizer. This is not our true philosophy and behavior, especially for the wrong

reasons, and hope this situation can be avoided. Back to the game, the winner today was Dave Evans

with a good score of 104/35, second place was Bipan with 101/34 followed by our guest Hans Benn,

playing his first game with us with 87 (sharing the lowest gross with Mike Williams) for 34 points.

With these results, the March winner is Bent Serritslev with 75 points and, after the March games

In the LC of the Year competition, Bipan is leading with 44 points, followed by Ricardo with 36 points

and Iain with 36 points. We welcome April games and looking forward to enjoying some Ramadan rates.
