It was nice playing Bkt Jalil again, with very hot weather and a nice blue sky. The course condition were difficult especially the first 9 holes (1-9) with very wet fairways, and uncut grass, making it very difficult to hit the irons Greens were nice but quite fast with tricky pin positions. Following his good form this month, Ricardo won for the third week in the row with a reasonable 81 for 34 points, followed closely by Josef with 95 for 31 points and in third place two players (Iain and Clive) booth with 29 points. Roland (10 cm) and Fritz (25 cm) almost had a hole in one on 13th. With these results, Ricardo are the May champion with a solid 78 points, Bernhard finished in second with 74 points and in third place is Clive with 74 points. May results are closed and for the LCPOTY Bernhard still leading now with 62 points, followed by Siggy and Fritz booth with 44 points and Ricardo with 39 points. Lunch at Da Kitchen with nice food and cool drinks. During lunch Ricardo distributed the 2025 season prizes to Jan, Iain, Roland and on behalve of Diederik & Lukas to Roland. Jan got a gratitude gifts to thank him for his constant support to our society updating our hdc report every single week. See you all next week at Kinrara for the first game in June.

Back to Tasik Puteri for the 3rd game of May with very hot weather and a nice blue sky. Three flights started on time at Puteri nine crossing over to the Putera nine, with booth of the courses in excellent conditions, with very good fairways and greens. The winner was Ricardo with an excellent score of 75 for 40 points, followed by Martin Middleton also with a solid 89 for 39 points, and in third place was Tony with a nice 94 for 36 points. With these results, Ricardo is now the leader of the May competition with 78 points, followed by Bernhard with 76 and Clive with 74 points. After lunch at the club we delivered the 2025 season prizes to Tony Morris, Steve Collins and Martin Middleton. Stay tune and see you next week at Bkt Jalil for the last game of the month.

Nine brave Cannon’s drove all the way to the “far far away A Famosa galaxy” to play a nice round of golf. Three flights started before 8:00 am on the Palm nine, crossing over to the famous Crocodile nine, with hot but overcast weather. The course as always was in good condition with nice fairways and very good greens. Frigg Steinmann flew all the away from Switzerland :-)) to play his 3rd game with us. Today’s winner was Ricardo Castro with a solid 78 for 38 points, beating Fritz OCB, and in third place was Bernhard with a nice 87 for 37 points. In the monthly competition, Bernhard and Ricardo now both have 76 points, but Bernhard is in first place due to his better score in game one staying Ricardo in second place, and Clive closely in third place with 74 points, so there’s still a lot to fight for. For lunch and thanks to Mike Smith tip we tried the Han’s restaurant in Alor Gajah (just 6 min away from the club) and no regrets, the food was excellent and very cold beers. Myself, Josef, Bernhard and Marc we extend our trip until Friday in Melaka for a few more games. Next week lets go to Tasik.

The first game of May was held at Bangi with 3 full flights starting on Putrajaya nine and second and third flights on kajang nine with very hot weather and nice blue sky with some cotton clouds formations. The course was in good conditions, very dry fairways and nice greens. Very good results again with Bernhard beating Clive OCB booth with 39 points, and in third place was Ricardo with a solid 78 for 38 points. After the game we all rushed to East of Highway restaurant for a good meal, 2025 season prize given and also TO celebrate Siggy’s birthday with a nice contribution of 220.00 rm for the bill and he got a very nice box of balls as a birthday gift. Great morning of golf and a very nice lunch and prize giving celebrating the 2025 season. Dave Evans got is prize for the April champion with a fantastic 80 points,definitely well deserved. Next week time to play A Famosa and lets try to be famous.
