OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NEW SPONSOR FOR THE 2023 SEASON-24-11-2022

Cannon’s

It’s with great pleasure we announce PAMPAS GROUP as the new Loose Cannons sponsor for the 2023 season, celebrating the special moment with a nice event at the flag outlet in Kuala Lumpur with the presence of 14 LC members, wearing the new LC shirt, who came to support the cause. Thank you very much for your support it was nice to see 3 new members supporting our event which shows even though they are new but they already feel the Loose Cannons vibe. On behalf of the Loose Cannons Society, I want to say to the owner of Pampa’s group Mr. Kana Theva a big thank you to open this opportunity to us and also to Miss Maggie Kamto (Marketing Manager) for all the time and help in making this event became a reality. Ted Parslow and Diederek Brinkman were the lucky guys to get the two vouchers (food and wine) and hope they can enjoy food and a good selection of wines at Pampas. All the active members were presented with a membership card with a 15% discount on food and wines from now on until the end of 2023 at any Pampas restaurants. Also, Pampas offered 12 vouchers to cover prizes and lucky draws during the 2023 season including away tours. We are expecting your support every week, every year, and together we will keep improving and growing Loose Cannons, enjoying the sport we love. Thank you again.

Cheers

Ricardo Castro

KGSAAS REPORT-22-11-2022

Cannon’s

It was nice playing again KGSAAS even with the amount of rain in the last 2 weeks, we took the risk, and actually, it was not so bad, with a few fairways soggy but overall playable. We played President and Alam nines at a good pace as the course was very empty. Charlie Chow was playing his first game with us (thank you Diederik) and he got a sleeve of LC balls as a welcome gift. Diederik played his second game and he is looking forward to next week’s game and the Melaka tour to complete his degree. The winner today was Josef Winter with 88 for 36 points followed by Ricardo Castro with 81 (lowest score) for 35 points and in third place was Martin Belderink (just back from Holand) with 99 for 32 points. With these results, the monthly competition saw Ricardo catching on the top of the table with the same 74 points Josef Winter, and right behind Iain and Bernhard with 68 points so some to play next week.

AMVERTON COVE REPORT-08-11-2022

Cannon’s

It’s always nice playing Amverton, feeling the fresh air, and enjoying the nature around us. The course was in reasonable conditions to play, even wet, especially on the first nine, and a lot of the machine tracks on the fairways with sandy greens, making some reading quite difficult to see the lines, but overall playable and we all enjoyed the experience and company. Three full flights with three new guests, Mike Ravlich, Marvin Gan, and Montano Yee, and all got an LC sleeve of balls as a welcome gift. Thanks to David Cheung, Reinili Tan (Well comeback), and Ricardo Castro for introducing Loose Cannons to the new potential members, and we are looking forward to seeing them many times. The winner today was Ricardo Castro with an excellent 77 for 39 points, in the second two players with the same points, Roland Steiner and our guest Montano Yee with 34 points, followed in third place by Josef Winter and Bernhard Romahn booth with 32 points. For the November competition, Josef Winter still leading now with 70 points, second, Iain Wise and Bernhard booth with 68, and in third place, Roland with 67 points, so a lot to fight for in the final two games of the month. Sadly next week no game due to the lack of volunteers to organize the third game. Thank you all and see you guys in 2 weeks’ time. Stay safe.

Cheers

BANGI REPORT-01-11-2022

Cannon’s,

We back to Bangi and played Kajang and Putrajaya nines as Bangi nine is still not ready, maybe next year. Three full flights starting on Kajang nine, the course was in reasonable conditions with playable fairways and tricky greens, but overall a pleasure to play again Bangi and you can see the improvement on the course in terms of landscape and the new robot delivering the food. The winner today was Josef Winter with 86 for 38 points, beating OCB Iain Wise with 93 for 38 points, followed in third place by Bernhard Romahn with 87 for 36 points. Tony Morris after a few holes was not feeling well and decided to stop playing and we wish him a fast recovery. Ricardo Castro got his prize celebrating his winning in the October competition and also a sleeve of balls as a birthday gift. After the game, only four of us (quite sad) had a good lunch at East of Highway and Ricardo Castro contributed with 285.00Rm covering the full bill. Next week’s game will be at Amverton Cove.

Cheers

Ricardo
