BANGI REPORT-14-02-2023

Cannon’s

On Valentine’s day, we played Bangi and after not having played the Bangi nine for a couple of years, we played it today together with the Kajang nine. Our expectations were high for the “new” Bangi nine, however, we were a bit disappointed. The quality of tees, fairways, and greens was good, no complaints there, but the course layout was a bit boring. Hardly any trees, no bunkers, wide open fields of grass. Not too exciting.

The Kajang nine is more mature of course, but there, in particular, the greens were very bumpy, sandy, and therefore a bit of a frustration.

But we had a great morning, full of love with three full flights, and Montano took two guests with him, both from Korea, wanting to get out of the winter cold and play in Malaysia.

As usual, we had a great lunch at East of Highway, during which we presented Lee and Jay with a sleeve of balls, and collected from Fritz 50 RM because of not passing the lady’s tees on one of the holes.

Montano and Fritz played their fourth game, so one to go for the Loose Cannons membership.

The one with the most points was Montano with 40 points, which is promising for his future games!! He had a gross score of 80!

The winner today was Michael with 36 points. He won on count back, leaving the two Dutchies, Jan and Martin, also with 36 points behind him. With these results, the February competition sees Martin leading the pack with 72 points followed by Ricardo and Josef with 36 points. A lot to fight for in the last two games of the month.

Next week we have the Hills course at Rahman Putra on the program
