Always good to play Bangi with very dry fairways and nice, but slow greens. Three flights started before 8:00 am on Bangi Nine crossing over to Kajang Nine, and by 12:30 some of us were already at the restaurant having some cool beers. The results reflected the perfect conditions with nine of us playing under hdc. The winner today was Jan van Driel with a fantastic 88 for 45 points (the investment in the new set of irons is definitely paying off), in second place were Hans Berger and Martin Middleton with 43 points, and in third place, Ricardo Castro (lowest gross) and Fritz Katzengruber with 40 points. A good start of the month with big results showing an improvement in our member’s golf game, leveling the bar height for the last 6 months of the year competition. Jim Stevenson played his fourth game, and Martin Middleton got his prize for the June competition. Lunch at the usual East of Highway restaurant with a good crowd.
