Back to KL to close out the month of March competition playing in the always difficult Seri Selangor course. We had four full flights with 3 guests, Ian Ashenden and Alan Vick playing their first game and Steve Laking playing his fourth game with us. Ian and Alan they got a LC sleeve of balls as a welcome gift. Flight one and two started on hole 1 and flight three and four started on hole 10th. With a quite big numbers of flights on the course we were able to fininish the game in 4:15 min, so not so bad as the last time. The winner was Bernhard Romahn with a very good score of 86 for 37 points, followed by David Evans with a nice 35 points, and in third place was Marc Louette with a good 34 points. With these results Bernhard is the March champion with 71 points, one more than Clive and in third place was Marc with 68 points. This month was a close competition from the first till to the last game even the numbers were not to high. See you guys in Bkt Kemuning for the first game of April.

Its always a pleasure to play in Amverton, with cool temperatures in the morning and warm sunshine and blue skies at the end of the game. The course was in good condition with nice fairways and reasonable greens, except for 3 or 4 witch were not in good condition, very bumping and no grass, but overall playable conditions for a good game of golf witch we all enjoyed very much. Today’s game was one of the fastest we’ve played this year, all flights finishing in three and a half hours, and we were all back to KL around 2 pm, after a nice lunch at Suka restaurant. Clive Gordon was the winner with a solid 86 for 39 points, followed by David Cheung with another solid result of 87 for 37 points, and Bernhard Romahn closed the podium with a nice 88 for 34 points. For the monthly competition, Bernhard is now leading the pack with 64 points, followed closely by Ricardo and Fritz with 63 and 62 points. We also had a nice celebration commemorating David Cheung’s birthday, who contributed with 200.00 rm to the bill and he got a nice box of balls as a birthday gift. Next week back to KL to play Seri Selangor.
