Cannons all,
Only 11 of us made it to BU last Monday. Good weather and the course was in OK condition but some of the greens were over watered and “soggy” rather than soft.
With everyone arriving in good time we were able to tee off on the dot of 8am and the 3 ball were round in 3Hrs 20 mins.
The winner was Raymond Keys with 40 points and the runner-up Hans Berger with 35. Andrew shot the low gross of 89 and the most golf was played by Richard with 111.
Raymond is cut 4 strokes and Hans 1 stroke.
The M&M was remarkable only in the price. RM516 was bloody expensive. Those that left early helped push up the additional sub for the others to RM30 each. Guys. If you must rush off before the bill has been called for LEAVE SOME DOSH.The F&B at BU is no longer cheap; particularly the JUICES.
It’s CNY holiday next Monday & Tuesday so we wont play those days. I will try and get us a game for Wednesday.

Cannons all,
12 Cannons took up the challenge at BU on a fine cool morning. The new buggies are a long overdue improvement (yes, they are brand new) and the course was generally in good order. With few other players present at 8 o’clock we were round in good time.
The winner was Tony Morris with 42 points and the runner-up Simon Compton with 40 points. The lowest gross were 87’s by Bernard & Simon and the most golf was played by Alan with 120. The full results and your adjusted handicaps can be found in the attachment.

Results – Bukit Unggul – 4th October 2011

Cannons all.
18 LC’s turned out Tuesday on a cool and overcast morning and enjoyed a course in good condition, especially the greens that were lush and true if a little slow. Alan Holgate was a no show; out of bed late then the car wouldn’t start! I didn’t think modern cars had those sort of problems. Anyway, Alan sent his apologies. Thanks Alan.

Registration at BU is rather complicated due to the different charges levied; Members, Seniors, HSBC Card holders, Voucher holders etc., so in future we will assemble a little earlier. Thanks to Ray F for organising the registration while yours truly found his way back from Nilai having overshot the Bangi exit. Daydreaming. A bit of a worry!!!
All were round in reasonable time despite being held up on our back 9’s by some very slow players.
The winner with a gross 79 (37 on the front 9) and 40 points was John Laidley and the runner-up OCB from Barry Cousins was Sigi with 86 for 39 points. Low Gross was John’s 79 and the most golf was played by Rick Brown with 109. John is cut 4 and Sigi 1.

7. Rick Brown – 101/31

9. Barry Cousins – 104/24
10. Tony Morris – 97/27

We were all done and dusted by noon and lunch was taken at the club and was notable for NO BEER AT ALL CONSUMED!!!  Large tankards of brightly coloured juices festooned the table – perhaps in subliminal deference to Ramadan?

Our Dear Leader returns to these shores this Friday from his eventful Iberian Odyssey and will inform you all in due time of the arrangements for next weeks game – which will be on THURSDAY 18TH AUGUST!!!

Kind regards
Andrew Robinson
