The Feb trophy game was played at Perangsang GC. We teed off from 2 tee boxes on time at 0745 hrs. Weather was excellent with a light breeze and the sun continued to shine. The course was in good condition, but like all the others getting very dry and hard. The greens were good, played well and true.

The winner was Dave Hughes with equal lowest gross of 82 for 39 points. In second place was Andrew Robinson and Iain Wise both with 93 for 37 points. 

A rather large lunch followed at Tangs, enjoyed by all.

The Feb trophy game on the 25th February will now be played at Perangsang GC. Tee off from 2 tee boxes at 0745 hrs. 5 tee boxes booked. Looks like we may need 6 flights.

We will be lunching at the excellent Tang’s Restaurant after the game. Tony has already booked. Please let Andrew (andrew.robinson.golf@gmail.com ) know, if you are NOT joining us, by Monday morning.

Please be at the club by 0720 hrs, latest. Costs. Seniors 100 RM, Youngsters 120 RM (under 55), Members 70 RM. These costs includes caddies.

Another very enjoyable day for the 40 players for the LEGS/LCs match. A good day’s golf was had by all. The guys managed to start with 20, with a couple of guests helping us out. Hopefully 2 new members will result. KGSAAS was in very good condition, good run in the dry conditions and the greens played well.

After detailed checking the match score was actually 5/5. Two scores had been entered the wrong way round…!! As in previous games the pairings worked out well with 6 of the 10 matches being very close, within 2 stableford points. So…. after 3 LEGS games, the ladies lead by 14/13 matches and the LCs lead by 3 points…!! 1191/1188…. Unbelievably close….

Results – Berjaya Hills – 11th February 2014

Excellent weather yet again, this time at Berjaya Hills. Everyone enjoyed this very picturesque course, although the conditions were challenging, with a lot of run and a sadistic green keeper, looking at some of the pin positions…!! We got the benefits of the fax booking with the starter
giving us 4 tee boxes, for the 6 full flights, and apart from a rogue Korean pair, we all started on time.

The winner was Stuart Taylor with 85 for 40 points. In second place was Andre Holm with a 91 for 39 points. Full results attached. Please note on the score sheet there is now a cross check column for the stableford points. Hopefully by highlighting the small errors, will make sure we all check our scores before the cards are submitted. Incidentally I always check the first 2 place scores before
announcing the results..!

An excellent good value Lunch was had by most “down the hill at 126” as usual.

Next week playing at BERJAYA HILLS Please note venue change. 5 flights, 2 Tee boxes have been requested. Please be at the club by 0720 hrs, for a 0745 hrs tee off. The costs will 80 RM for TP and 110 RM for the others…Caddies cannot be booked, first come… at 55 RM. Lunch will be “down the hill” as usual.

On 4th February we played at Nilai Springs. 5 full Flights, teed off on time from 2 tee boxes. Tremendous golfing weather, and the course was in good condition. The greens were fast and excellent. 3 of the flights were held up by some slow play, but otherwise a good morning’s golf was enjoyed by all. We welcomed back “Taffy” Hughes for his 3 months annual golfing holiday.

The winner , with also the lowest gross, was Ted Parslow with a very good 77 for 41 points. Well done at last no longer bridesmaid…. In second place was Barry Cousins with a 99 for 39 points.

Results – Rahman Putra – 28th January 2014

We played the Trophy game at Rahman Putra. As always the club seem incapable of controlling the starts, and as a result we teed off , only 15 minutes late…..The course had dried up well and the greens were in excellent condition, very true. The weather was cloudy and golfing conditions were very good.  



Several good rounds, but the winner was Tony Morris with 88, for 38 points. He will receive the trophy when they arrive….In second place, as his good form continues was Stuart Taylor with 89 for 36 points. 


An excellent lunch had been arranged by Tony. Thank you. He was called back to the restaurant, as there was a query with the bill, but he is still counting the profits, … !!
