Back to Staffield, the course and greens were in great condition and playing nicely. The weather was hot, humid, and sometimes overcast. The last few holes were quite hot, and we had a short shower for a few minutes, but it was perfectly fine conditions to finish the round. David Lake played his 3rd game, so 2 more to be a full Loose Cannon member. The winner today was Martin Middleton with a solid 90 for 38 points, and the second was Iain Wise had good practice for next week’s Klog’s tour in Chiang Mai, with a nice 94 for 37 points, and in third place was Ricardo with 77 (lowest gross) for 36 points. After his absence from last week’s game, Iain Wise got his deserved prize as the October champion. Next week some of our members will be in Chiang Mai playing the Klog’s away games, and we all wish them, a safe trip and a great tour. For those who stay in KL see you guys next week at Nilai Springs.
The first game of November was held at Bangi with three full flights, all starting earlier from Bangi Nine, and crossing over to Kajang Nine. The pace was smooth and fast, and all the flights finished before noon. The weather was hot and dry, with a nice blue sky, dry fairways, and tricky but nice greens. The winner today was our “Singaporean” member with an impressive 88 for 42 points, second place was David Evans also with an impressive score of 96 for 41 points, and in third place was Fritz Katzengruber with another solid score of 89 for 40 points. Overall and following the good course conditions, only two players didn’t score more than 30 points, which shows our members’ level and game quality. Josef Winter played his last game this year as in 2 weeks he will participate in the famous Phuket Triathlon competition, we all wish him a successful participation, and after that, we will fly back to Germany to enjoy Christmas together with his family. We returned for lunch to the Kajang Fei Chui restaurant, where eight of us had a great meal with special and delicious dishes such as the famous Barbecue Pork Ribs, Tofu with pumpkin sauce, and famous fried house. Ricardo Castro contributed 200.00 Rm to celebrate his birthday plus 120.00 rm from the LC kitty and we all had a great lunch together. This place is a must from time to time to pay a visit. See you guys next week at Staffield.
The last game of October was held at Impian, which had hot weather and great course conditions, with flights one and two starting on hole # 10 and three on hole # 1. The course was very dry, making long distances if you landed on the fairways. The winner today was the local member, Roland Steiner with an excellent 87 for 39 points, giving the local knowledge a big advantage, second was Ricardo Castro (lowest gross of 77) and Josef Winter booth with 36 points, followed by Tony with a solid 95 for 34 points. With these results, Iain Wise is the October champion with 76 points, Fritz Katzengruber second with 75 and Ricardo Castro closes the podium with 72 points. For the LCOTY, Ricardo Castro is in an excellent position to claim again first place with 118 points, the second is Bernhard Romahn with 88, and in third place is Jose Winter with 82 points, so now for the remaining two months the battle continuous to fight for the places between 2nd to 7th. For lunch, we tried the restaurant Siaw Kah, but the food was not so great and we had to buy beer from another place, but anyway, always good to try new restaurants to increase our options for lunch. We had a late birthday celebration and thank you to Reinli Tan for his 200.00 rm contribution to the beer bill. Next week let’s welcome November playing the Bangi course.

BIRTHDAY BOY GIFT CEREMONY. HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY REINLI, MANY HAPPY RETURNES.
On hole one, three full flights started on time. It was a sunny day with a blue sky, and it was getting very hot and dry all morning. The course was in good condition, with dry fairways that made the ball run a lot and have funny bounces, and nice but firm greens. On some holes, the blue flag was in a difficult position, making the approach quite challenging, but overall the course conditions opened the opportunity for a good round of golf, as expressed in the final results with big numbers. Espen Dalland played his second game and the highlight of the day was Helmut’s Birthday celebration, and he contributed 300.00 Rm for our lunch, and Jim Stevenson had his prize for the September champion. The winner today was Dave Evans with a solid 99 for 40 points, followed by Iain Wise with a nice 92 for 39 points, and he still complaining about his hdc of 23, in third place was our overseas member, Frans Bakker, who baked a nice score of 89 for 38 points. With these results, in the October competition, Iain Wise is now the new leader with 76 points, second Fritz Katzengruber with 75, and in third place, with 70 points, Ricardo Castro and Martin Middleton. For lunch, we tried a new restaurant (Makanan Laut Robin), only 6 minutes from the club, and the food was good, with nice cool beers, and this time Martin Middleton came to the right restaurant. See you guys next week at Impian.
Two full flights started on hole # ten, 15 minutes before our booking tee time, avoiding the Jumbo flights and a large tournament. The weather was overcast with a lot of black clouds, but luckily we only had a few minutes of little rain, and very humid. Even with all the rain from the last few days, surprisingly the course was quite dry with firm fairways, making long rolls and nice greens, but slow, and some sandy. We had one more guest David Lake, playing his first game with us, and he got one LC sleeve of balls as a welcome gift. The winner today, was again Fritz Katzengruber with a solid 92 for 38 points, followed by Iain Wise with a nice 95 for 37 points, and in third place Martin Middleton with 96 for 33 points. With these results, the monthly competition is led by Fritz Katzengruber with 75 points, second with 70 points are Ricardo Castro and Iain Wise followed by Bernhard Romahn with 65 points. Lunch at the usual restaurant Sek Hao Fu in Nilai, with a nice food selection, chosen by David Cheung, and nice cool beers, but Martin Middleton, even with my email and in the morning we all were talking with him about the restaurant location, guess what happened……… Martin ended up at East of Highway restaurant. I understand sometimes people forget things, but every week many guys don’t know how much they have to pay, what flights are they on, where is the lunch and to be honest I feel quite disappointed with this lack of interest in reading the emails after all my efforts to send out all the details. Regarding the payment please try your best to bring the right amount, otherwise, the balance will stay with me to deduct on our lunch bill. See you all next Tuesday at Bukit Kemuning.
After a successful trip to JB last week, we are back in Tasik Puteri, with three flights starting on time on the Tasik Nine with overcast and hot weather. the course condition was reasonable, with some fairways, and around the greens were quite soggy, but overall the course was nice to play, and the greens were slow with some tricky pin positions. We welcomed him to his first game with LC, Espen Dalland, and he got an LC sleeve of balls as a welcome gift, and we are looking forward to seeing him soon. We also celebrated Iain Wise’s birthday, with a nice gift and Iain contributed 200.00 rm for the lunch bill. The winner today was Fritz Katzengruber with a solid 93 for 37 points, beating Ricardo Castro with the lowest gross of 77 by one, point, and in third place was our guest Espen Dalland with a nice 95 for 35 points. See you guys next week at Kota Seriemas.

The first away game was held at the magnificent Forest City golf course and we played the manicured Classic course. This game opens the individual competition (2 away games, Forest & Senibong), for the tour winner, adding the Team competition composted by two teams, “the Golf Nuts” with Ricardo, Roland, Martin & David and “the Lazy Cunts” with Bernhard, Josef, Charlie & Frans, with the most accumulative stf points including the Horizon game (Regular Game), plus the most birdies individual competition including the 3 games Horizon, Forest & Senibong. The course is always in great condition, with fairways like a carpet, great but tricky greens to play with funny pin positions, and very slow. The weather was very hot especially in the first two hours, ending the game with overcast skies. The best stf points of the day were our tour virgin, Martin Middleton with a solid 93 for 37 points and he took the 50.00 rm prize, followed by David Cheung with 90/35, and, third position was Ricardo Castro with a nice 79 for 34 points. For the team competition “The Golf Nuts” finished the second game with a total of 253 points against “The Lazy Cunts” with 254 points. For the Most Birdies competition, Josef had two excellent birdies plus one to Bernhard and Martin, so adding the Horizon birdies, Bernhard and Josef ended up the day with 2 birdies each, Ricardo, Frans, and Martin with 1 birdie each, so all the three competitions were very tight for the last day.
On the last day of the away competition, we played Senibong Golf Club from the blue tee, starting the game on the difficult hole # 1. Even with some complaints about playing from the blue tees, the scores showed that was a good decision as the course is quite short and even some say shorter than Bkt Unggul. The course overall was playable, with nice greens and the weather was quite overcast, after 2 hours we had to stop because of some lightning, and 30 minutes later the game resumed and we were able to finish the game. With the final day results the 2024 JB tour winner was Ricardo Castro with 69 points, followed by Martin Middleton with 68 beating Bernhard Romahn OCB finishing the podium. For the Team competition “The Golf Nuts” had a good final day and finished in first place with a total of 385 points against “The Lazy Cunts” with 378 points, so a lazy day scores for the Cunts. For the Most Birdies competition, Bernhard added one more birdie to his account finishing in first place with a total of 3 birdies, followed by Josef and Frans with 2, and Ricardo, Roland & Martin with 1 each. Congratulations to all the winners, it was a very tight three-day competition. Lunch and prize-giving ceremony at the club lounge with good food and cool beers. Roland, David, Frans & Martin all went back to KL, Charlie to his hometown, and Ricardo, Bernhard & Josef stayed one more relaxing night in JB.
The Hotel Trinidad Suites was great, nice, and comfortable. It had a big room (sorry for the small toilets:-)))) )), a great location, close to the golf courses, a short walking distance of a few F&B restaurants and bars, a private car park, a good breakfast, and a good rate for our society. A big thank you to our sponsors, Pampas, Airdry, Interprint, and The Corkman.
It was a fun week in JB with great courses and fun. Thank you again for joining the tour and supporting our society, and see you again at the next away games, maybe in Kuantan.
Cheers
Ricardo Castro

QUOTE OF THE JB TOUR.FROM OUR WISE MAN, BERNHARD ROMAHN.
Three of us (Ricardo, Josef & Bernhard) played the fun game on Monday at Daiman 18 Golf Club. It was a new experience as we never played here before, and it was a very positive experience, nice layout, good greens, and fairways in good condition. The first nine holes (1 to 9) were very challenging, not too long, but narrow, with a few blind shots and tricky tee box angles to attack the fairways, but the second nine was completely a different story, with long holes, narrow fairways, and the weather was also scorching what really didn’t help us to have the right energy to play, but overall was a fantastic experience and is a course to be played again in the future.

HORIZON HILLS MONTHLY LC REGULAR GAME.
Tuesday, was our regular monthly game at Horizon Hills Golf Club. The eight Superman golfers, started the round on the Gamuda nine, crossing over to the UEM nine. The course was in great condition with beautiful fairways and super speedy greens (10.5) and the weather was treating us all morning with dark clouds and time to time some showers and drizzling rain and it was very humid. Most of us lost many strokes on the fast greens reflecting on the final results with only four, scoring over 30 points. The winner today was Bernhard Romahn playing his hdc with a very solid 84 for 36 points, second was Ricardo Castro with a good 79 (lowest gross) for 34 points, and in third place was Roland Steiner (Batam 2023 Winner) with a nice 94 for 32 points. Lunch was at the nice terrace looking over the Gamuda course, with nice food and cool drinks. This was a perfect start for our JB tour playing such a fantastic course.
Back to Malaysia’s most haeted golf course, with three full flights starting from hole # 10. The course was in good condition, but we had to fight with sandy greens for the first nine, and the weather was hot and humid. The winner today was Iain Wise with 34 points, beating Tony Morris OCB, and in third place was Hans Berger with a nice 116 for 33 points, even playing from the blue tees. With these results the monthly winner is Jim Stevenson with 73 points, second place Ricardo Castro with 72, and in third place Fritz Katzengruber with 69 (nice number). For the LCOTY competition, Ricardo Castro cemented his first position, with 108 points, followed by Bernhard Romahn with 86, and third place, Josef Winter with 76 points. October games will be decisive for the final standings. We had lunch at East of Highway and to celebrate his departure for good to Hua HIn, Bent Serritslev contributed 250.00 Rm for the bill. We all wish him a happy life in Thailand and when you back to Malaysia, LC group is your home. As you know next week, we will be playing in JB for our 2024 away games.
