BKT UNGGUL REPORT-29-04-2025

Cannon’s,

The last game of April was held at Bkt Unggul, with 15 players starting on hole # 10 before 8:00 am. The weather was hot and dry with a beautiful blue sky all morning. Due to the heavy rain the night before, the course was wet but the fairways were surprisingly playable with only a few places being quite soggy, but overall the course played very well with nice and true greens. We celebrated Ted Parslow and Hans Berger’s birthday with a nice lunch at East of Highway restaurant, and they were very generous sponsoring 100% of the bill. We all wish them a happy long life and most importantly good health. Today we had perfect scores, with only 4 players scoring below 30 points, with the winner Jim Stevenson smashing the scores with a solid 91 for 40 points, followed by 3 players, (Ted Parslow, Ricardo Castro, and Tony Morris), all with 39 points, and in third place 2 players in great form (Hans Berger and Markus Nijmeijer) booth with 36 points. With these results, a lot of changes on the final standings, with Ricardo Castro winning the April competition with a solid 77 points, Bernhard dropped to second place together with Jim Stevenson booth with 74 and Markus Nijmeijer guaranteed the fourth place with a good 71 points. For the LC player of the Year, Ricardo Castro is now the leader with 56 points, second Iain Wise with 46 and in third place Martin MIddleton with 37 points. We welcomed back Ted Parslow, Erol Akinci, and David Pearce from a long overseas absence. Let’s open the May competition at Bangi with a good crowd.

Cheers

TASIK PUTERI REPORT-22-04-2025

Cannon’s,

Back to Tasik Puteri for a nice golf game and a good crowd. Very nice weather with the best course conditions in the last two years, with good fairways and very nice greens. We played Tasik and Puteri nines with a good pace due to the new starter organization with the flights, even with a quite large number of players playing the Raya tournament, the speed of play was normal. The winner today was Bernhard Romahn, with 83 for 38 points, Markus Nijmeijer came second with 35, and in third place was Hans Berger with 33 points. With these results, Bernhard is now the April competition leader with 74 points, Ricardo second with 72, and Hans Berger third with 67 points, so all quite tide for a ferocious last game of the month. Markus Nijmeijer sponsored our lunch bill with 200.00 rm, to celebrate his birthday. Thank you Markus for your contribution and we all wish you many good returns.

Cheers

STAFFIELD REPORT-15-04-2025

Cannon’s

Elevan good looking players started the game on the Southern Nine, crossing over to the Northern Nine. The weather was hot and dry, and the course was not in a good condition and many of us had some problems finding balls on the fairways due the poor course maintaience. Green speed was not stable, and not easy to read the lines. We welcome back Bent Serritslev from Thailand and David Lake just back from Australia. Bipan Kapur had his last game with us because next month he is leaving Malaysia for good back to Australia. We wish you all the best for your new life chapter, and you will always be a Loose Cannons member. Thank you again for your 2025 sponsorship. Martin Middleton had a box of balls as a birthday gift. The winner today was again Martin Middleton, playing is hdc, followed by Ricardo, Iain, Bent and Jim, all with 34 points. Following today’s results, Ricardo Castro is now leading the April competition with 72 points, followed by Bernhard Romahn with 70, and in third place, Martin Middleton with 67 points. See you all next week at Tasik Puteri.

SERI SELANGOR REPORT-03-04-2025

Cannon’s,

Due to the Hari Raya holidays, the first game of April was played on Thursday at the Seri Selangor Golf Club. Because the jumbo flight was teeing off on hole # 1, flight 3 started on hole # 5, and flights 1 and 2 started on hole # 6, making our round faster, even with this move, it took us around 5 hours to finish. The course was in good condition, with nice and tricky greens. The weather was nice at the beginning, and it started to get very hot towards the end. The winner today was Ricardo Castro with an excellent 76 for 38 points, second was Bernhard Romahn with a solid 85 for 36, and Fritz Katzengruber and Jan van Driel finished in third place both with 32 points. Before the game, Siggy got his sponsor trophy in appreciation for his support last season with the LC balls. Iain Wise got his prize, celebrating his win as the March champion.
