Kota Seriemas were in pretty good nick compare to when we played it last time Feb 26, although some greens still had the hollow tining not completely recovered from. We were the only players at that early hours and the weather were cloudy at first with a little bit of wind until the sun came through, quite nice actually.
No one run away with a high number of points so at the top three it were pretty tight.

– winner Iain Wise with 37 points
– runner up Ted Parslow on count back with 35 points
– shared third Stan Constantinides, Aftab Ahmad and Allan Wright also with 35 points
– lowest gross, who of the single handicappers did the best job this day, Andrew Chez did with 80 strokes

We had 3 full flights this morning at Amverton Cove and we started promptly at just before 8:00am. The course was in pretty good shape and the weather pleasantly cool. We made good time round the course then retired to the usual restaurant just over the bridge after the game for some much needed refreshments. Food was passable but surprised a Chinese restaurant had run out of chilli!!!
The winner this week was Kaz Takita with a score of 91 for 38 points. Runner up was Geoff McLaws with a 77 (best gross of the day) for 36 points. Full results below:

It has to be “Loose Cannons” earliest start with a 07. 20am Tee time.
The first flight finishing at 10. 45!😜
The last flight in around 11. 30am.
Registration at 06. 50am was painless. All but one player (Roger) managed to pay their
registration fee by 07. 00am (as requested)
Thanks to Paul Geddes for getting a member to introduce us we only paid RM 210 to the club, which included a “limited” buffet lunch.🍛 Great value.
Course and weather was good.

The winner 🏆 was Kevin Wiggins with an impressive 78 for 49 points. (Let’s hope Stuart can update H/c’s before Thursday’s 🍳 game)🤔
🥈place went to Andrew Robinson with 95 for 40 points
🥉place (OCB) went to a late entrant Robert Mullis with 104 for 37
Kevin made a generous 💵 donation to celebrate his win. Celebrations 🎉🍺 lasted to around 02. 30pm

Today we had the pleasure of playing Sungai Long and boy what a joy it was.The course was absolutely immaculate. From Tee to Green everything was in perfect condition and we couldnt have asked for more. With Berger and Wiggins forming the perfect starting partnership Registration was a breeze and 16 eager golfers were chomping at the bit for a fast start @ 7.50 and a timely finish at 11.45 – 12.30
16 LCs teed off from Templer Park CC’s 1st and 10th tee at 8:30 under bright morning light.
The course was in its usual fine shape with rather fast green for front nine and bit slower green in the back nine.
We were not affected by rain the whole game but it was rather muggy with no wind which affected many players with their concentration (as they claim). It might have been one of the factor for only 3 players scoring below 100 today.
Winner was Geoff McLaws with 81 for 32 points. Runner up was a three-way tie between Bernard Romahn, Brian Stubbs and Kevin Wiggins all with 28 points. Best gross was Geoff with 81. Full results below:

With many players away on the KLOGS tour to Vietnam there were only 11 players today for our game at Seri Selangor Golf Club with Kevin Wiggins acting as Convenor as Hans was on the KLOGS trip. We started early and were off before 7:30am. The course was in good condition and as tricky as it always is. Weather was overcast making it relatively cool all the way round.
We noticed some course improvements with a new deep pot bunker placed at the right side of the green on Hole No 11, which was duly checked out by Paul Collett!

We were finished just after 12 noon and 7 of us made lunch at Pantai Seafood for some great food and the most welcome cold beers. And just for Hans’ attention we had a lovely large plate of huge prawns ……..

Only two players managed to play to handicap today and Stuart Taylor and Paul Geddes both shot 36 points requiring a count back on the last 6 holes which Paul won – so Paul Geddes was the winner this week with Stuart Taylor runner up. Paul’s round of 82 got the best gross award. Full scores below:

We had 21 players today for our game at Tasik Puteri – a rather odd number so we ended up having 4 flights of 4 and a jumbo 5-ball flight at the rear. We all had to start on the Tasik course as there was a competition on the other two nines and then we crossed over to the Puteri course. The weather was perfect with blue skies and even a light cooling breeze making it a pleasant round. The course was in good condition but the greens on the Tasik nine were markedly faster than the greens on the Puteri course.
We finished by 12:30 and then departed for lunch at the Chin Heong Restaurant close to Rawang. Andrew Robinson and Siegmund Maierbrugger who were celebrating birthdays kindly added some cash to the coffers to help out for lunch. Happy Birthday boys!!

With 2 players on a best score of 39 points we had to do a countback with Stuart Taylor and Siegmund Maierbrugger both on 39 points. They had identical back 9’s of 20 points so we had to look at the last 6 holes at which point Stuart was the winner this week. Best gross of the day was Geoff McLaws with a 79. Full scores tabulated below:

Our first game of May was held at KGSAAS in Shah Alam with 6 full flights teeing off on the President and Sultan courses at 7:30am. It was a beautiful morning and the course was in fairly good condition. The greens on the Sultan 9 had been sanded but were still running very well.
After the game we had lunch on the terrace and with a kindly contribution from Joe Lacy (late Birthday celebration) the cost was very good.

The winner this week was Ricardo Castro with an excellent score of 81 for 40 points. We had 3 joint runners up all on 37 points; Martin Walsh, Stan Constantinides and Geoff McLaws. Best gross today was Geoff McLaws with an excellent 76. Full results below:
