After more than one year we back again to Seremban to play the International Golf Club, with very hazy and hot weather. The course was very dry, with most of the fairways with many spots without grass and very nice but tricky greens. The starter was busy with 4 flights in front of us on hole # 1 and the first flight teed off with a delay of 40 minutes, and after the two flights teed off the marshal decided to give priority to the walking members and send our 3rd flight to hole # 10, so quite messy. Last year we played from the blue tees, but this time playing from the white tees opened the opportunity for a few good scores and the greens much more reachable on the second shot, as with a long and straight tee shots the ball was rolling another 30 or more meters from the landing spot. Hans went straight to Melaka following the Waze instructions, but he was able to find the way back to Seremban and joined flight three at hole # 3. Today’s winner was Marc Louette with an amazing 99 for 44 points, followed by Jan van Driel also with a solid 90 for 37 points, and in third place was Josef Winter with a nice 90 for 35 points. With these results, Marc is now leading the monthly competition with 74 points, second and third is Reinli and Josef also with 74 points but Marc has the highest score (44) on the best 2 games. Happy Malaysia day and next week we will be playing Kinrara.
